"Gorgeous Balinese aesthetic"

Villa Bulan is one of Bali's most beautiful villas. Made up of conjoined circular huts with white pillars and thatch roofs and surrounded by mango trees, it has a tropical Balinese aesthetic. The inside of the villa is very clean and tastefully decorated with romantic lighting. Villa Bulan is luxurious on the inside, but you don't feel confined indoors while there. Its expansive open-air spaces allows you to be right in the midst of Bali's gorgeous natural environment. The villa's pool is large and private with a lovely view of the property's tropical trees and flowers. The staff is friendly and can prepare delicious cuisine of all sorts. The villa owner, Kumi, is convivial, accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable about Bali. She is one of Bali's most well-known residents. I would highly recommend Villa Bulan to any of my friends as the ideal place to stay while in Bali. It's clean, comfortable, conveniently located in the heart of Seminyak, has great service and feels like Bali should feel.

Heaven for our family

Every year (for the last 6) we have stayed for at least 2 weeks. We book both villas & always another family joins us plus friends. The girls look after all of us so well but especially our children (8 & 3) It's just like coming home - but without the mess or need to cook!
Long days in the pool, stacks of books & Steve comes every morning for our 90 minute yoga class. We go home feeling fabulous.

Please note there is no star rating for good - because that's where 'comfort' & 'cleanliness' should be.

Incredibly beautiful and comfortable

Villa with a fantastic staf Villa Bulan is magnificent! The property is nestled in a rice field and offers open-air dining and comfy, plush living spaces. Every room is beautifully decorated. The staff is the most friendly group of people with whom I have ever had the pleasure of spending time! We didn't want to leave; we were so pampered. Honestly, we wanted to take them home with us. We were in heaven and the staff was fabulous and helpful not just with the service but with suggesting places to visit or not visit. They helped us deal with vendors when we went shoppping: what good prices were. They all went out of their way and when we left, they felt like family. We are going back! I(we) would recommend renting this home for any special occasion or just spending a quality vacation with friends or family! Superb restaurants are within walking distance as well.

Villa Bulan - a charming home in Seminyak

Always nice to come back to Villa Bulan peaceful yet still central , friendly staff , nice architecture and gardens and pool - bring friends and enjoy a good atmosphere.

Magic atmosphere

I will never forget my staying in Villa Bulan. It is a very charming villa built in oriental style and very nicely furnished. This is hardly surprising once you know the owner Kumi, a charming Japanese lady living in Bali. The villa has everything one would like to have during a holiday: two very large bedrooms (and a smaller one), a comfortable living room and a nice swimming pool, not to mention the very kind staff team always keen to help you. It is only 50 meters away from the main street in Seminyak and is absolutely quiet. My only concern was the lack of internet connection. Maybe this is fixed now, but in any case a Belgian bar 200 meters away has wireless connection. I am looking forward to going back there...

Magical Hideaway in the centre of Seminyak

Villa Bulan is a truly magical villa hidden in the middle of Seminyak. With it's mystical architecture and breezy gardens you feel like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle of Bali. However minutes from the front door and you are in the centre of shopping and restaurants and close to the beach for sunset and surfing. The staff are always smiling and helpful for whatever you need. It is very comfortable and quiet. The villa is open in 'Old Bali' style and is one of the most beautiful villas in Bali.

Cozy and quiet villa at excellent location in Seminyak

I stayed at Villa Bulan for 10 days during surf trip and had a peaceful and relaxed time. I really liked the location and overall coziness of the place. The villa is located in the heart of Seminyak and walking distance to the main street Jalan Seminyak. Lovely looking buildings look like scene from Hayao Miyazaki's animation movie and provide warm atmosphere. Well maintained garden and pool further enhances coziness and I was able to get away from the noise of hectic Bali streets and rest my tired body in peace. The place is quiet day and night. Only noise around are sound of wind and rain and call of frog and gekko. Mosquitos were sometimes annoying but I felt secured with mosquitos net during sleep. Rooms are equipped with kitchen, refrigerator, dinning and living room, hot shower, small TV, DVD player. Wi-fi is available at the main lounge space. Maids keeps the floor clean every day they To surf spots, it takes, by bike, about 20 mins to Canggu, 45mins to Uluwatu, 30 mins to Sanur.

Life is beautiful at Villa Bulan

I'm French, we going to Villa Bulan 4 couples 2 child. It was my best Holidays...The villa it's so big end the garden splendid two big trees 15 metres with yellow flower, coconut trees, and in front of the bigger villa beautiful trees with white leaf like snow tree in tropical island, this garden look like Park in central area of Seminyak !!! We all like the swimming area, particularly the children... The architecture of the house, it's nice mix of style, Indian and oriantal-style. all of the pieces are round and very comfortable. the staff of the villa helped to make our holidays beautiful for all of us. Of course the place very clean and noiselessly. Special thanks for the landlady, she give nice recommendation for our holidays and nice address of restaurant, shopping etc... I recommend you this address for holidays in family or between friends.

Gorgeous Balinese aesthetic

I stayed at Villa Bulan with three other couples and it was truly amazing. I've gone to Bali for a few times and stayed at cheap hotel to nice hotels but staying in Villa like Villa Bulan is totally different experience. It really is cozy and feel like we were really living in Bali. Some days we were just chilling at this villa all day reading and swimming... both bali deli and cafe moca are right around the corner from the villa that, sometimes it was really really hard to even get to the beach :) They have two bulidings in the property with one swimming pool. Each building has nice kitchen. Also near every nice restaurants in Semyak. I wish I could go back there anytime possible. It was really nice staying there.

A unique artsy yet comfertable home away from home!

choose Villa Bulan for my birthday present with all my friends from Taiwan. I could not have chosen a better accommodation. A real home away from home... only better! This villa is so spacious; comfortably sleeping myself and 7 of my closest friends. The Villa was kept immaculate everyday by the Iluh (Housekeeper) and 3 other staff also Dewa Gardner and one more Dewa sedulity. Our wonderful experience was brought together by Desak's (Villa Manager) attention to detail. 8 ladies in one villa could prove to be testing for most but Desak and her team could not have been more accommodating. From the moment I enquired about Villa Bulan to the moment we were returned to the airport, their service was excellent. Desak was able to accommodate arrival shopping list to stock the fridge prior to our arrival. Location was great too. Just a two minute walk to Restaurants, Cafes, Banks, Shops, Day Spas... the list goes on. I feel extremely confident in recommending Villa Bulan. Come, Relax and Enjoy your day lazing around the pool or discovering Bali, you couldn't be in more capable hands! Thank you to Desak and staff for making my birthday celebration a real celebration.

Quiet, safe, private, well suited for family, centrally located

This gorgeous old style villa was a hidden treasure. It is set on gorgeous large grounds and is very quiet and secure. We have 2 young children and they were thrilled to have such a magical environment and access to child friendly facilities. The staff were brilliant and I recommend taking up the opportunity to have them cook for you. From someone obsessed with cooking- truly delicious and authentic. We hope to return one day. Hopefully it remains as it is.Facilities were great.

Gorgeous Unique Romantic Villa!!!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Villa Bullan. We came to bali so many times, but this is our first stay at villa bulan after getting recommendation from my friend. This villa has a very nice unique design and so quite. We were comfortably sleeping, myself and husband in 2 beds room villa. We were looked after by the villa staff who was very friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful and everything you need just a walking distance, the shops, the famous Bali Deli and other cafes and restaurants. It's a 10 minutes drive to the Beach. Thanks for a wonderful vacation We will reccommend this villa to friends and surely will return one day.

We love staying at your villa. Our next visit will be our third! Villa Bulan gives us ALL a holiday – the children love the garden, the pool & the food & we love the fact that your staff look after them so well & we too can have a holiday! To be able to have such great food straight from the market every day is sensational. Close to everything but far enough away to feel like a sanctuary. See you next year!

Thanks very much for having us at your lovely villa, even though it was such a short time, we had an amazing holiday in Bali, it couldn't have been more perfect, we have come back full of stories and are getting round everyone telling them about your lovely villa, so hopefully we shall be putting some future business your way.
